All schools have a no bullying policy and this can be significantly strengthened by removing the need for students to carry money whilst on the school premises. By introducing a cashless vending solution that utilises the same Legic smartcard that operates Kaba’s access control systems, students cannot be bullied for money.
Students using smartcards are able to pay for food and drinks in the canteen or at snack machines, they can either charge their cards at central points or even have the funds automatically allocated each month. By reducing the amount of money on site it saves money in handling and administering cash and statistically increases the number of students that claim for their free school meal where they would otherwise have not due to the associated stigma.
